The first warm and sunny day in a long time!!! I sat on the front porch and absorbed all I could. Today was a good day. Thanks Lisa n Tom for the bear. Miss you guys!
My Mom's flying out tomorrow to see her Great Grandson for the first time. (Georgia) That should be interesting. You'd understand if ya knew my Mom. (Mom, I love ya. You'll be fine.) She's maybe not the "best" in flight. But once she sees the baby, the plane ride will be nothing. I plan on doing a lot of travelling when I get more strength. D and I have some great friends in other states I'd never been yet. (Like Vermont, I'll warn you ahead of time, Lisa and Georgia, I won't warn you, Barb.) I guess it's nothing new in my situation, to feel the urge to start seeing that which you'd not seen before.
Anybody got any other suggestions? Where are the must see places you've been too? (I expect some comments here people.) share. It's neat to share. Won't you be my neighbor? (and the meds kicked in)

ReplyDeleteAs far as must see vacation spots, I recommend Washington DC. I go there often, and never tire of being in that city. My favorite time of year to go is Memorial Day Weekend. It's incredible to be in the city with so many service men and women and veterans in the area. It's also an inexpensive vacation, nearly everything there is free. Because it's so close to home we usually travel down several times a year for look weekends. If you enjoy history as much as I do, you'll love it! It can also be entertaining if you ride the bus or metro.
You need to come to Texas! There is a huge Renaissance festival in the fall!
ReplyDeleteTexas is pretty cool. So much to do that one trip is never enough, in fact I have been here for about 7 years and just scratched the surface. Ren fests, greenbelts, floating the river, sixth street, BBQ, and the live music capital of the world to name a few. We even have a real nice guest room for you guys when your feeling strong enough to visit.
